Health at Work
In today’s busy world, good health is crucial. Stress and Lifestyle have a major impact on health and work performance. Early detection of health risk factors could influence long term outcomes. Claymon Laboratory’s Health & Lifestyle screening programmes are designed to help improve the health of your workforce to meet the needs of your business.

Improving the Health of the Individual
Claymon’s Health & Lifestyle programmes are designed to ensure that each participant achieves the maximum possible health benefit by:
identifying pre-existing health problems; assessing the individual’s risk factors for disease; providing recommendations on lifestyle and health that will encourage a longer and healthier life.

Improving the Health of your Organisation
Claymon provides a simple and cost effective way to reduce the likelihood of ill health in employees and the serious effects of absence from work and other health issues on your business. In addition, taking care of your staff and early detection of health related problems, not only demonstrates a concern for their well-being but also increases their commitment to you.

People-Centered Programmes
Claymon’s Health & Lifestyle programmes place the employees at the centre of each programme. The goal of our onsite medical team is to ensure that the programme is a very positive experience for every participant. Our health programmes are conducted onsite at the workplace in an efficient manner with minimal disruption to the day-to-day activities of your organisation.

Experienced Project Management
Claymon has more than 10 years' experience in the delivery of programmes to large and small organisations in single or multi-site locations. Claymon approaches each programme as a project with three distinct phases with defined tasks and timelines to ensure the seamless operation of each programme.

Health Screening Profiles
Claymon’s screening profiles have been designed to deliver a comprehensive overview of the health status of each individual. All blood tests are carried out in our accredited Laboratories in Sandyford, Dublin, and overseen by our resident consultant pathologist. The physical tests are undertaken on-site by our registered medical team. Tests provided as part of a programme could include some or all of the following:

Physiological Measurements
Body mass index is calculated and advice given for lifestyle modification if required. Blood pressure measurements are performed for the early detection of hypertension. A resting ECG is recorded to assess the heart’s electrical activity and rhythm. Appropriate advice is given if further investigations are necessary. Pulmonary function tests are also undertaken to assess lung function. Breast awareness instruction is given to female participants if requested.

Laboratory Tests
A Comprehensive range of screening tests will be performed for early detection of disease and or highlight risk factors to include:

  • Diabetes
  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Anaemia
  • Haemochromatosis (excessive iron storage)
  • Kidney Disease
  • Liver Disease
  • Bone Disease
  • Thyroid Function
  • Metabolic Disorders
  • Urinalysis (testing for kidney disease and diabetes)
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Cervical Cancer Screening

Lifestyle Assessment Questionnaire
We look at aspects of participant’s lifestyle that can impact on health including diet, physical activity levels, alcohol and tobacco consumption and stress. An individual’s lifestyle and history may indicate certain risk areas which need to be addressed to maximise the outlook for a healthy future. The response to the questionnaire is considered in conjunction with relevant clinical assessment and laboratory results to build up a comprehensive health profile of the
individual.

The blood, urine, physiological measurements and lifestyle counselling should normally take no more than 40 minutes to complete.

Reporting the results of the Programme
Once all the results have been compiled, a follow up consultation with our doctor will be arranged. The results will be discussed with each individual privately at work, and should take no more than 10 -15 minutes. The doctor will also answer any questions or concerns they may have and advise of any steps that should be taken to remain healthy. While all individual results are strictly confidential, Claymon can also produce a statistical Corporate Health
Report summarizing the overall health status of your organisation.

Claymon Laboratories is a member of The Biomnis Group (France) and an INAB accredited Laboratory to ISO’s 15189 Medical Testing Standard as detailed in registration number 159MT.
