Claymon :: LMM Group

Organisations now recognise that inappropriate use of drugs and alcohol by employees can cause serious harm to their colleagues, affect productivity and ultimately damage their profitability. However, tackling substance misuse in the workplace can be an arduous and often complex process.

Here at Claymon Laboratories, we can offer companies a complete solution. Our highly trained and experienced staff can offer policy advice, staff training & education, specimen collection & transport, and analysis all under one roof. With over 14 years' experience in the field of drugs of abuse and alcohol analysis, we have the knowledge, expertise and products to guide and support you.

Whether your policy includes screening for drugs of abuse or alcohol, we have a range of high quality products to suit your needs. The American Bio Medica Corporation (ABMC™) testing kits allow you to screen for up to 10 drugs and drug groups simultaneously. Kits can be made to order to allow our clients to customise their drug testing programme to be more in line with local trafficking and drug use trends.

The Lion Alcolmeter® allows for immediate onsite screening for alcohol in the breath with an instant duplicated printout of the result. This user friendly breathalyser allows for rapid, accurate determination of alcohol level, enabling the client company to respond immediately to safety critical situations.

Our resident toxicologists have received lengthy training in the field of Workplace Drug and Alcohol Screening and are qualified as “Certified Professional Collector Trainers” by DATIA (Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association) in the United States.

We currently service over 70 corporate clients in the areas of:

  • Pre-employment screening
  • Random screening
  • Post-incident screening
  • Reasonable suspicion or ‘for cause’ screening.

We have recently established a dedicated team of Collectors & Testers who are available throughout Dublin to respond to ‘for cause’ or post-accident situations in the workplace. Adhering to the highest international standards of practice, our team can be pre-booked to perform random screening in the workplace. Alternatively, if your substance misuse policy covers ‘for cause’ and/or post-accident testing, you may wish to subscribe to our scheduled service which provides cover 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, with a response time of less than 2 hours (in the Dublin area). This service is available nationwide, with varying response times depending on the location of our client.

Our On-call collection & screening service can be utilised in three ways:

  • 24 hour full on-call service: This requires the establishment of a retainer fee which is payable quarterly in advance. This entitles the client to full on-call collection and testing services which are available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to respond to possible incidents in the workplace.
  • Scheduled random service: Our team of collectors can be pre-booked in advance to carry out random specimen collection and testing as required. This will result in a pre-determined callout charge and an hourly rate for each collector on site.
  • Non-scheduled Service: Our team can be called upon to respond “post-incident” in your workplace, where the company feels that specimen collection and/or screening should be performed. It should be noted that we will require confirmation that the company has an existing substance abuse or Drug /alcohol policy with testing provisions therein. This type of cover will require payment of a call-out charge and an hourly rate for each collector on site.
